Born in Taiwan in 1953, Chen Chiue has devoted nearly forty years of his prime life to abstract photographic creation and stands as a pivotal representative of abstract photography art in Taiwan. Drawing materials from fleeting light, shadow, lines, colors and textures of nature, he adopts pure photographic techniques to capture innate abstract imagery without any digital compositing, presenting a unique aesthetic integrating nature and art and forming a highly recognizable personal style.

He currently serves as Taiwan Representative of the FIAP China Office and Executive Vice Chairman of Taiwan China Photographic Society. His professional honors and credentials include Distinguished Photographer of the World Photographers Association of America, Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, Senior Photographer of the Sun Yat-sen Overseas Foundation, Honorary Fellow of Taiwan China Photographic Society, Senior Member of Chinese Art Photographers Association, Honorary Fellow of Taiwan Tourism Photographic Society and Fellow of Hualien Huaqing Photographic Society.

His signature series include Rippling Light and Shadows, Gathering and Dancing Forms, Contention, Conversing with Mountains, Transient Moments, Vision Over the World, Wonders of All Kinds, Yellow Winds Through Time, Clouds, Water and Sky. He is the recipient of the inaugural Lang Jingshan Golden Statue Award in Taiwan, Taiwan China Literary and Art Honor Medal, as well as the International Photography Lifetime Achievement Award.

Chen Chiue explores all natural phenomena through the lens, elevating natural light and shadow into an abstract artistic vocabulary and establishing an original school of abstract photography. Hailed as a leading figure of Taiwanese abstract photography, his works embody an oriental aesthetic spirit paired with an international contemporary artistic vision. Boasting a distinctive artistic identity and high collection value, his creations have won wide recognition and acclaim from photographic and artistic circles at home and abroad.

1953 年生于台湾，将人生黄金岁月悉数投入抽象摄影艺术创作，深耕近四十载，是台湾抽象摄影领域极具代表性的艺术家。他以自然界瞬息万变的光影、线条、色彩、肌理为创作素材，全程采用纯实拍摄影手法捕捉浑然天成的抽象画面，不做任何数字合成，营造自然与艺术相融共生的独特美学，塑造出辨识度极强的个人艺术风格。

现任 FIAP 国际摄联中国办事处台湾代表、台湾中国摄影学会常务副理事长；所持专业荣衔与资格包括：美国世界摄影家协会杰出摄影家、英国皇家摄影学会博学会士、孙中山海外基金会高级摄影师、台湾中国摄影学会荣誉博学会士、中华艺术摄影家学会高级会士、台湾旅游摄影学会荣誉博学会士、台湾花莲花青摄影学会博学会士。 代表作系列有《波光弄影》《聚散舞常》《争锋》《话山画山》《时暂》《放眼天下》《无奇不有》《时历吹黄》《云天水》。曾斩获台湾首届郎静山金像奖、台湾中国文艺荣誉奖章、国际摄影终身成就奖。

陈缺以镜头探寻世间自然百态，将天地间流动光影提炼升华成独有的抽象艺术语言，开创独树一帜的抽象摄影风貌，被誉为台湾抽象摄影核心代表人物。其作品融合东方美学内核与国际当代艺术视野，艺术特征鲜明，具备极高收藏价值，广受海内外摄影与艺术界高度认可。
